@Broadband2 Your are on an open customer support forum, you are not talking to anyone from EE. You need to call EE CS from 9am onwards, there is no customer chat facility with this connection.

Have you looked at your bill? That will tell you why they are taking this amount.

It's not absurd to get no response here at 7 AM. Users will come along here in own time!

Look at the breakdown of your bill to see what you've been charged for. If you can't work it out yourself, you'll need to call CS.
