4G: COMING TO A TOWN NEAR YOU...

If you've been hiding under a rock for the last week, you may not have noticed that we’ve just launched the next generation mobile network that gives superfast internet speeds on the go. If that is the case, here's a few things you should know...

It’s called 4GEE and by Christmas it'll be available in 16 major cities across the country. Here's a nifty little map to show you where...

So if you’re in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester or Sheffield, it’s all systems go. I’m happy to announce that 4GEE is already available in your city. Hurrah!

For those of you in Belfast, Derby, Hull, Nottingham, Newcastle, and Southampton, we’re aiming to get 4G live by the end of the year, so you can stick one of our 4G compatible handsets on your Christmas list. It all means that while we’re singing Auld Lang Syne, more than a quarter of you will be able to upload photos of fireworks to Facebook with lightning speeds.

And in 2013, we’re planning to spread far and wide, with 4G available in even more cities and selected rural areas.

To see if your area’s covered, enter your postcode on our coverage checker. Or, if you want to be one of the first to know when your area’s going live, sign up at ee.co.uk.

Is Cardiff the most connected city, or is Hull the 4GEE hotspot? Within the community, we want to see which city has the most passengers on the 4G highway. Are you part of the 4GEE network? Or are you thinking of signing up? Then let us know.... and don't forget to tell us what city you live in!
