Well spoke to them as the lovely lady did ring back and i was put on to the tech team, they checked a few things and said it should work......... waited another 30mins still nothing so there going to replace my esim there end, whatever that means and how long it will take......

Well Got email from the tech guy that all done so to unpair and repair watch, did so and alls working fine 🤗👍 was very annoying but everyone I had dealings with either on phone or web chat (and here) were very friendly and helpful.

I wish I’d seen this before I bought my Apple Watch 3 cellular. My third attempt to get cellular data set up has just failed (via EE I hasten to add) - reset to factory - 4G only - second esim - countless emails and phone calls. I could not be less happy - I just want to take the watch back and forget the whole hideous experience - but my concern now is that the store I bought it from will not refund me since the watch is not faulty. What a hideous, time consuming and VERY annoying wasted week of my life. Shame on EE AND Apple for failing people spending a LOT of hard earned cash. Disgraceful.

Hi James - I’m on my FOURTH attempt to set up data - had some texts asking me to do what I have already done three times. App says ‘activating’ - has done for four hours - watch says ‘no sim’ and ‘no connection’. To be honest my hopes are not high - I was promised a call this evening.
We’ll see.
NOT happy at all. Crazy.

FOURTH attempt to set up data - surprise surprise - fail. Six people in a department dealing with this mess - 82 pages of comments from people like myself. Broken promises and ineptitude. Absolutely PATHETIC.

Just got an S4 and attempting to setup a plan via the Apple Watch app, I'm presented with a 007 error, as well as: "Our system checks show that you're not currently eligible to buy an additional line for this device"...

All sorted via phone call, I think, thanks!

Had to give the EID of the watch, some magic was done on the backend, and looks like my watch now has a data plan.

Also had an error (code 003) when switching to the Series 4 Apple Watch.  This time around it was resolved very quickly after calling 150, so nice work EE team!

 

The problem apparently stemmed from me trying to set up the mobile data plan while connected to WiFi. So here’s the steps I think I should have followed to avoid any problems:

 

• Remove the EE data plan from my old Series 3 watch.

• Erase / unpair my old watch.

• Turn off WiFi on my iPhone, and make sure I’m connected to EE.

• Pair my new Series 4 watch, and set up the Mobile Data plan as part of that process.
