Having claimed a new iPhone through EE insurance in April, when it came to unlocking my phone before travelling it was told because it hasn’t been 6 months it can’t be done (wish I’d been informed of this beforehand). However my contract with EE has now been terminated, so are they able to unlock my phone now or am I still being held hostage?
I cant ring off my phone as it doesn’t have a carrier, and I’m in Australia so can’t ring any Freephone numbers or pop in to store. Any help would be appreciated as currently cut off from the world.

@ZoeBolland14 You need to speak with customer services and inform them that you had a insurance replacement device. They will unlock the device for free and the 6 month rule doesn’t apply to you.
