I have had a 24 month contract with EE and this has now finished.
EE online state that iPhones purchased after 1st September 2015 will be unlocked automatically after 18 months.
I purchased mine in December 2015. (24 months ago)
I am now in Australia trying to put a new sim in and it does not work.
However my friend who has the same phone, same situation (EE contract that has finished etc) his Oz sim works fine with his phone.
So it seems as if my phone is not unlocked for some reason.
Any help on this would be great.
P.s I cant phone EE as I have no working number as my contract has finished and they seem to have no live chat or email address.

You can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it used to have. It will first show your current phone on that number & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.
