does wifi calling still work on an unlocked ee phone

I have an SGS7e bought direct from ee.

Wifi calling  works well 95% of the time.

I would quite like it unlocked to perhaps use another sim from time to time.

I am 13 months into contract so can do it for 8.99 I think.

HOWEVER might this effect OTA updates but more importantly will wifi calling still work. I have no signal at home indoors or outdoors (or surrounding area, heart of Surrey but perhaps somehow that is not 97% of the population, where do they get their figures from!)

I know wifi calling does not work on non-ee purchased phones and wonder if this might flag someting up & prevent it.

I have heard that Three 4gsuper voice 800mhz really does work for better coverage on calls. So also like to test this with Three sim but need a current phone.

Thanks I/A

Re: does wifi calling still work on an unlocked ee phone

Hi,

@bignose2

Yes with ee sim you can use WiFi calling if you unlock it or not.

And also don't effect on OTA updates when ever updates available you will also get that same time.

Many Thanks
