Using phone outside EU

Going to vietnam can i use my sim locked ee contract phone and use their sim card ?

@Hintofyellow   No as it’s locked to EE.  If you had the device longer than six months you can request it to be unlocked or if you’re on pay-as-you-go you can request it to be unlocked.

Thats a shame thanks for the reply got a contract  phone and cant use it might have to cancel just because of this as i will be withought a phone  .

Lol definitely not long enough 1st day haven't even opened the phone one question that slipped my mind when taking out this contract first  time   using contract .

All devices purchased directly from EE, either pay as you go or pay monthly, are locked to our network.

 

After 6 months you can request to unlock the device.

 

We do have add-ons for Vietnam, you may want to look into using your EE phone, you would need roaming set up before you travel.
