Unlocking phone after transferring number

So I got a PAC code so I could transfer my number from my ee sim to a new giffgaff sim but when I tried to use the giffgaff sim I realised my phone was locked to ee (I bought it second hand). Now I can't use either sim.

How am I meant to unlock it now?

Re: Unlocking phone after transferring number

@Peanutbutter You need to call EE customer services to request this to be unlocked.  It will cost you £8.99 and take up to 10 days to be processed. EE do try and do it in 72 hours though.

Or click this and choose the relevant option.

Re: Unlocking phone after transferring number

For unlocking 2nd-hand phones you need to call Customer Services on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2, option 4).

But even so beware that EE could still refuse to unlock it. Many phones sold 2nd-hand have been reported lost or stolen, have been sold by the original owner when under 6 months old without EE's permission or have money owing on them.

If that is the case your only remedy is against whoever you got the phone from.
