Unlocking my phone

i have recently moved to New York but I am continuing to pay for my monthly contract as I do not want to lose my number. However I have purchased an American sim but i need my phone unlocked. I tried to unlock it but it says my device is too new. I need an American SIM card so is there any way I can unlock it?

Re: Unlocking my phone

If it doesnt meet the criteria no.

You cant unlock within the first 6 months of a contract.

How long have you had the contract?

Re: Unlocking my phone

You need to have had the phone on your contract for a minimum of 6 months I believe, to be able to get it unlocked.

Have you had your contract/phone for less than 6 months?

Morning @Chanellecamille

Hope you're having a great time in New York.

As advised you would need to have had the phone on your contract for a minimum of 6 months before we could look at unlocking this for you.

You can find full information on unlocking a pay monthly phone here.
