Hi all, I terminated my contract early and am yet to pay the early termination as it hasn't come out of my account yet (I was quoted 14 days approx last week). I haven't received anything from EE about how to unlock my phone and this request was made over 2 weeks ago.
Will I only get instructions for unlocking AFTER the early termination fee has been paid? I want to sell the phone sooner rather than later. I tried calling EE but gave up after 10 minutes of waiting and there's no option on the menu for this.

Sorry I meant to add the early termination will come out as a direct debit. If I could pay it now to get the ball rolling I would but again it's impossible to talk to anyone on the phone about this.

Unlocking is separate from cancelling. You need to apply for unlocking. They don't just send them to you.
If the device had been on your contract for at least 6 months, even if that contract has now been cancelled, you can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it originally came with. It will first show your current phone on that number, if any, & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.

Hi there, i requested in the shop when my then stolen phone was found and it need un-blacklisting. I spoke to someone on the phone about them unlocking it and they took my contact details but never heard anything since.

Sorry I'm submitting my responses without including everything. My phone was stolen so I cancelled the contract as I only had 3 months left. Got a new contract and ported my number to Vodafone - Ee said as my contract was cancelled I'd get it unlocked for free so requested that and nothing heard so far.

If I were you I'd fill in the online locking form.
