Unlocking Phone

I'm upgrading my EE iPhone 7+ to one of the new 11's.  I want to give my soon to be old phone to my daughter.  She currently has another provider, and wants to stay with that provider (why, I shall never know!) and wondered if my old phone needs to be unlocked, to take the SIM from the other company?  Is there an easy way to do this?  Cheers!

Re: Unlocking Phone

If you bought an iPhone directly from EE after 01/09/15 it should have been auto unlocked after 18 months. Text UNLOCK to 150 to  confirm this.

Where did you get this device? Did you buy it yourself new direct from EE or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different. Is it on contract or PAYG? How old is it?

Re: Unlocking Phone

I bought it, brand new, directly from EE when the 7+’s came onto the market.

Re: Unlocking Phone

@Sophies_mommy01   It should be unlocked already try putting your daughter Sim in the device.
