@Mufti   Click the green wording below to see how to request the unlock of your device.    You have to select the correct option that applies to you or the unlock will fail.

Re: Unlock

To unlock a 2nd-hand phone you need to call Customer Services on +44 800 956 6000 (option 2, option 4) to put you in touch with the Unlocking Team to request an Unlock Code. You will be asked for your email addy. They will take payment (of £8.99) from any valid UK bank card.

Once the process has been started you will receive an email from the Unlocking Team to process the unlock. It can take up to 10 days to complete the unlock.

But even so beware that EE could still refuse to unlock it. Many phones sold 2nd-hand have been reported lost or stolen, have been sold by the original owner when under 6 months old without EE's permission or have money owing on them.

If that is the case your only remedy is against whoever you got the phone from.

Re: Unlock

Dear authority, you said to pay from any UK valid bank card, but I am from Bangladesh. Is there any option that you will help me in my country. Or any secondary option to unlock from Bangladesh. I am waiting. Please help me out. Thanks

Re: Unlock

@Mufti  EE is a UK company and asks for payment via a U.K. card.  There is no option for any other type of payment.   It’s always best to know how to request and pay before you purchase a device that’s from a different country before you purchase.

Re: Unlock

There is no other way other than I've given you. EE products are only intended for UK residents & visitors to UK. You are neither!

Next time I would research how to unlock a foreign device before buying it & decide whether you are in a position to carry it out.

Re: Unlock

Hi @Mufti.

We will only be able to accept payment from a UK bank card.

Do you know anyone in the UK who has a UK bank card that you could use and then pay them back?

Re: Unlock

@Mufti   The device will not be unlocked with a payment via a UK. You’ll not be the exception to this rule.
