Unlock two old out of contract phones

I have two old phones, one from years ago which is a samsung s6 and one I have recently finished my contract with which is a samsung s8.

I wish to unlock them for my son to choose from, as he is a minimal pay as you go user and not with ee.

I have always been contracted to ee and prior to this with orange. I have currently got a samsung s10 with ee which I upgraded recently and have always had contracts.

Please can you advise how I can go about unlocking the phones mentions from ee for another service provider.

Many thanks

Re: Unlock two old out of contract phones

Where did you get these devices? Did you buy it yourself new direct from EE or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different. Is it on contract or PAYG? How old is it?

Hi @BSad.

Welcome to the community.

I'd recommend having a look at our Unlocking Support Article, which explains how to unlock your phone depending on the scenario you're in.
