Unlock my iPhone

I have just requested an unlock code for my iPhone 6plus, I have recently changed to a sim only plan and purchased an iphone7 plus from Apple Store. So I am trying to unlock my iPhone 6plus to sell on. Will I be charged for this service even though the iPhone 6plus is not on the contract? It says on the confirmation page that it will cost £8.99? But reading the EE website, it says free out of contract phones.

Re: Unlock my iPhone

It will be free as you have completed your EE contract on it. Did you request the unlock using EE's online unlocking form?

Re: Unlock my iPhone

This is just a user discussion forum. You need to chase EE on progress. Try 0800 956 6000 (option 2, option 4) and ask for unlocking team.

Re: Unlock my iPhone

Hi @Chipster2015,

Have you tried another network SIM to see if the unlock has been completed?

Thanks

Re: Unlock my iPhone

Hi @Chipster2015,

Don't worry, you wouldn't lock it again by inserting another SIM card.

If you don't have access to another SIM, please get in touch with customer service and they'll check your account to see if it's been unlocked for you.

Thanks

James

Oh, you never got the phone itself from EE? Then it counts as a 2nd hand device & cannot be unlocked by the form. You need to call the no. I gave you earlier to get 2nd phones unlocked.
