Hoping for an answer here.
I am trying to submit my iPad Pro 12.9" 2018 on contract with EE to unlock it as I am going to the US and would like to use it there.
When I try and submit the form to unlock it initally says the IMEI is locked; then it doesn't recognise my mobile data phone number - then it asks me for the IMEI again and this time it says it isn't locked. I know it is locked as I tried another SIM card...
What is going on? I should be able to submit an unlock request!?

@spinstorm: Did you buy this device yourself new direct from EE or is it 2nd-hand? The process & costs are different.

It was bought on contract from EE. I understand it is less than 6 months old.
However, the unlock process should still recognise my IMEI/Number as locked.
I would expect to be told it isn’t long enough or to get an email saying that.
But the site doesn’t recognise the number or IMEI as locked.
