In August 2015 I applied to unlock my iPhone 6. Upon trying to change providers, when putting a different network sim in my phone it does not work.
can anyone advise?

@JessicaTame Back in 2015 was you charged for this ?
Did you you get this device yourself from EE ?
What network SIM card are you trying in the device?

@JessicaTame Try using a different network SIM card as 3 SIM cards don’t always work and can cause this issue of not processing the unlock on the device. O2 or Vodafone are best, and you don’t need a code as it’s all controlled by Apple and using a different network SIM card activates the unlocking process on the device.

Hi and welcome to the community @JessicaTame
When you unlock an iPhone you are not sent a code, to complete an unlock please please an active network SIM card into your device and complete a backup and restore.
This should then unlock correctly for you.
