Unlock code

Hi all,

I contacted EE about 30 minutes ago. I found that I was eligible for a free unlock as my contract has ended, and I have no outstanding bills. An email was supposed to be sent to my account, and they have a log of it being sent, but I have not received this (checked all folders including spam, as well as searching through account).

I was told to go to ee.co.uk/visitthecommunity which led me here...any ideas what to do? I asked for the code over the phone but was told the codes come from the phone provider (Huawei p10 for context). I also offered an alternative email address but this wasn't utilised.

Any help is appreciated! 🙂

Re: Unlock code

@kanemorgan  If the code was sent you’ll have to wait for it to come through.  Just because an email was sent it doesn’t mean you’ll get it straight the way.   If you don’t have it by tomorrow morning I’ll call customer services again as you’ll only get the code from them and not via this public forum.

Re: Unlock code

If the device had been on your contract for at least 6 months, even if that contract has now been cancelled, you can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it originally came with. It will first show your new current phone on that number, if any, & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.
