Please help before i pull all my hair out

HI Guys and Dolls

I transferred, or at least i tried to, from O2 to EE and went on a contract with an i-phone 7.

This was over a week ago, and inspite of providing EE with the Pac code, nothing happened after 48 hours. Then my old number stopped working and STILL the Sim card was reading as No Sim. Spoke to EE and they said sometime between 9am and 3pm the following day. Which was Tuesday. I also explained I was going to be in Austria from Tuesday for a holiday. No problem, i was told, the number would still switch over.

Yes, you have guessed it, nothing. I have tried turning BOTH phones off as suggested on here but still nothing. Now i can't even call EE unless i call from the hotel phone. Can't even call Geek Squad. Please help. I might cry soon.

@crosspatch  If you are not in the UK when the migration happens it will not happen,  it is not possible on a roaming network,  you have to be connected to the EE network directly.

Thank you so much, and i will accept this as a solution, but why in F***
would Tina at EE happily put me on more expensive EE package so that I can
make and receive cheaper calls and tell me that it would NOT matter if I
was in Austria when the migration happened????

@crosspatch  Not many people are aware that numbers can not be ported when you not connected to the network directly.     There has only about 3 times in the last 3 years that I've had to tell someone this.

Most number ports only take around 24 hours ( Monday/Friday only) to be fully completed. But on occasion it can take longer.    Don't forget Monday  was a bank holiday so wouldn't happen then at all.

Re: Please help before i pull all my hair out

Thanks Chris. Sorry if I seem to be flogging a dead horse, but i bought the
phone last Wednesday.
The whole reason I got an i-phone and went with EE was because I am here
doing a t.v. show and have
been encouraged by the powers-that-be to do social media. I can live
without not doing social media, but now I am
here for 5 weeks without even at the very least being able to make or
receive calls or texts.
Which is why I was very clear with Tina and she was very clear with me. It
is just B.S. when you pay (ALOT) for a service
and you don't get it and I am so angry.
