Having arrived in Tenerife last night . My wife and i are unable to set signal even when we try to it manually all networks are coming back forbidden. We have both tried all the advice on here already with still no luck.

Have you activated roaming:
Log into your on line account and then Menu - Manage Device - make sure you have activated roaming and international calls.
From the MyEE app Current Usage - Controls - activate use phone abroad and make international and premium calls
