My old orange sim has desactivated but the new one has not been activated
I am switching my spouse's iPhone 4 (on an orange sim-only monthly plan) to an iPhone 6 and want to keep the same number. This requires a smaller sim.
I have received the new sim and gone though the activation process on the phone to orange. After 48 hours the old phone sim has been desactivated and has no service but the new phone sim has still got no service.
How long do I need to wait in limbo?
I tried calling orange help but the automated process asks for the mobile number you are calling about and then tells me it is not recognised!

Hello @cwhslh sorry to hear you are having problems activating your replacement Orange SIM. A SIM swap can take up to 24-48hrs to fully process. Have you restarted the phone since requesting the swap? Keeping the old SIM switched off during this time can also help.
If the SIM swap has still not processed after this time please call customer service on 0800 079 0006 from any phone using option 2 who can access the account and check/activate the SIM for you. 🙂
