My contract is now 21 months 3 weeks why hasn’t my phone been unlocked for free?

@ray4067  So not from EE.  You need to call customer services and request it to be unlocked and you’ll be charged £8.99 as the device is not from EE.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

It states on ee site the following. From 01 August 2017 any Apple device which was sold on or after 1 November 2015 will be unlocked automatically once the device reaches 21 months old. Am I to understand this is not the case. Just to confirm my contract started January 2016.

@ray4067   Have you tried a different network SIM card in the device yet ?   

 

Don’t use a 3 SIM card as these don’t always process the unlock.

Did you get your device direct from EE or via third party supplier?

Yes tried a giff gaff and a Vodafone sim.
