Monthly pay iphone

Are the monthly pay iPhones locked on EE for the whole duration of the contract (24months) or can I unlock the phone after 6months?

Re: Monthly pay iphone

If you bought an iPhone directly from EE on contract after 01/09/15 it should have be auto unlocked after 18 months but you may get it unlocked after 6 months for a payment of £9.

Re: Monthly pay iphone

I read that if I buy the Iphone from an official EE retailer, these same conditions apply. I've seen a deal phone+SIM on mobiles.co.uk which apparently is an official EE retailer. Can anyone confirms me that this information is correct?

Re: Monthly pay iphone

No, you must buy direct from EE for it to be auto unlocked at 18 months. You may still ask for it to be unlocked at 6 months for a fee.
