I received an unlock email 10 days ago confirming that my request to unlock had been accepted. It has now been 10 days and I still haven't had a unlock confirmation text and I have tried my phone with a different network sim and no luck. Is there any way to check whether the phone has been unlocked or to find out how long it will take? It's an iPhone 5s.

@Bumblebee5981. Did you get the device from EE yourself or is it 2nd hand ? If 2nd hand how did you make the unlock request ?

I had it on contract, I got a new iPhone 6s last may and kept this one as a spare but now I need to use it for a while. I got the confirmation email but nothing to say the phone is now unlocked. I made the request through the usual online form

Please try popping another network SIM card into the device and performing a backup and restore.
Let me know how you get on with that and it that works to unlock your device.
