Re: How to unlock iPhone

Hello @Diane44 ,

Welcome to the community,

This will depend where and when you got your phone and if on contract with EE, have you had it for at least six months, but check here for all the information you need:

Re: How to unlock iPhone

Where did you get this device originally? Did you buy it yourself new direct from EE or is it 2nd-hand? The unlocking process & costs are different. Was it on contract or PAYG? How old is it?

Re: How to unlock iPhone

But did you get it from EE itself or a reseller like CPW?

If you bought an iPhone directly from EE after 01/09/15 it should have been auto unlocked after 18 months. Using the form below will also confirm this.

If the device had been on your contract for at least 6 months, even if that contract has now been cancelled, you can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it originally came with. It will first show your new current phone on that number, if any, & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.
