Unlocking old phone after upgrade 

Hi, I recently upgraded a 5s to a se, my number stayed the same to my se but now i have a good working 5s that I would like to unlock to put an American SIM card in, all the unlock articles and help are for current phones not old phones used after a contract is over can anyone help

The process is the same for a current or previous pay monthly phone or device.


If you give customer services a call they'll be able to process this for you.

If the device had been on your contract for at least 6 months, even if that contract has now been cancelled, you can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it used to have. It will first show your current phone on that number & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.
