On the 13 Aug i requested an unlock code for my s6 Edge
I received an email from EE stating my code would be sent within 10 days
On the 26th Aug i had still not received the unlock code so i called customer services
After explaining my situation i was put on hold for around 10 minutes, then informed i would recieve the unlocking code within 24 hours
So 48 hours later an still no code
My Contract ends in a few weeks with EE and id like to get this sorted
So How long does it really take ???

It could be 10 working days so don't count weekends or bank holiday (today)

@Enigma2017 It’s 10 days not working days. And because your doing this before your contract does end you will be charged to unlock it. You can get it unlocked for free after your contract minimum term date.

You will need to contact the unlock team directly as per the email as there is no account access on these forums.

Thanks for your reply
So after first requesting my unlock code via website ( receiving email to confirm request ) as advised by EE staff when i called them.
Then after awaiting 13 days ( 10 working days ) i dont receive my code
I contact customer services, who put me on hold to talk to the unlock team for 10 minutes
and then tell me my code will be sent within 24 hours, and its now more than 48 hours later and still no code
Thats 15 days since my first request
Regards contacting the unlock team
Can you point me in the right direction ?
You mention my original email
Is this the only way to respond via email, as there is no direct contact number
Thanks to all who have replied

Ive just sent off an email ( via my original email from EE PROMISING UNLOCK CODE WITHIN 10 DAYS ) regards my problem.
Thanks to everyone who have taken there time to respond to my post.
I do understand that if i wait this can be free instead of the fee mentioned
But if i had originally taken this up,and the same situation occured in a few weeks , i would now have been without out a phone for 15 days

I have now received another email ( thanks to Leanne)
Stating I have to wait up to another 10 days to get my code
No explanation as to why my original request wasn't dealt with and also why my phone call with 24 hour promise wasn't met
Oh well see how it goes this time
Once again thanks to all that replied
