My phone was hacked and number taken to another network. I've decided to leave EE and am happy to pay off any outstanding costs, so am moving to a SIM only deal. When i activated the SIM, it said it was invalid, which i assume is because my phone is locked. How do i unlock it? Thanks.

@HL72 : Did you buy this device yourself new direct from EE or is it 2nd-hand? The process & costs are different.Is it on contract or PAYG?

I bought it through EE a few years ago on a pay monthly contract.
I've completed the request form now - it does seem odd that everything requires you to have a mobile number when surely some people must be without one at this stage of the process? I certainly am. Anyway, thanks for the helpful replies so far and i will wait and see if i receive a code.
