How do I unlock my phone whilst abroad, so I can use the local sim?

I can't call EE to unlock my phone as my roaming is currently off. Is there any way I can turn my roaming abroad on?

@Shivani91   Login to your account and wait for the live chat window to pop up, use that to make a request to turn roaming on.

You can  also fill THIS to make a unlock request but it can take up to 10 day to complete and you must of had the device for at least 6 months to make this request and if your still in contract it will cost you £8.99.  You also need signal to receive the text when the unlock is completed.
