How do I unlock my old phone when my SIM is in my new one?

I have been on Pay Monthly for years, and recently upgraded from S6 to S7, using my SIM from old phone to new as instructed. Now I want to unlock my old phone. Do I put my SIM back in or buy a PAYG SIM just to allow unlocking? Or something else? Thank you.

Hello @diane160_0

Thanks for coming to the EE Community! Smiley Happy

If you give customer services a call they'll be able to process the unlock for you on your old phone.

Or if using the online unlocking form enter the IMEI details for the old phone.

You can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it used to have. It will first show your current phone on that number & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.
