If the device had been on your contract for at least 6 months, even if that contract has now been cancelled, you can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it used to have. It will first show your current phone on that number & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.

@Michal523 If your contract has reached the minimum term the 6 month rule is totally irrelevant to you and you will not need to enter anything manual in to the online unlocking request form as this is the device that was associated with your contract at the time.
Can I ask have you had a change of number at any time during the contract with this iPhone ?
Just to point out if you haven’t gave notice on this contract it just doesn’t end at the minimum term it reverts to a 30 day rolling contract you need to call customer services to give notice you can write to EE if you wish but it’s just easier to call to do this.

Hence the "IF"! It's a conditional clause.
