Depends where you are in relation to your contract. There's no charge for the PAC code. There's a charge for line rental owed. If you are 30 days from the end of your contract, ring up and ask for a PAC code. You will be giving 30 days notice, if you use the PAC code inside those 30 days, you will get charged up to the end of your contract but, no further. Obviously, if you have several months to serve on the contract, if you ask for a PAC code, you will have to pay an early termination fee equating to the remaining contract value in line rental to get the PAC code.
