Do I need to unlock my phone if I chose a SIM only deal with another provider

Do I need my phone unlocked if I choose to go SIM only with another provider. U switch has some great deals

Yes, if it's not a MVNO running over the EE network. EE devices are sold locked to EE.

Depending where you purchased the device from, you may not need to unlock the device, I would advice trialling another network SIM to rule out any issues.

I got it from the car phone warehouse 2yr contract on ee

As a general rule, Carphone Warehouse devices are unlocked, but do please double check.
