Connection problem or invalid MMI code when unlocking phone

Hi,

I'm trying to unlock my phone using the code sent from EE but when entering 2945#*(phone code)# I am greeted with the following message:

'Connection problem or invalid MMI code.'

Can anyone help me out as it's really frustrating.

Kind regards,
Lloyd

Don't these USSD codes usually start with '*#' or suchlike?
