AAAAAAGH!!! I know my Nokia isn't an iPhone!!

Why is it that every time i contact ee to try and get them to unlock my very old nokia lumia 800 and goi through all the checks and questions, even give thme the IMIe number wait a week then get told " sorry we cant unlock this phone as apple have advised its not a legitimate iphone"  i konw its not an iphone!! its a NOKIA!!!!! this has now happened 3 times do apple ee only deal with apple now???

Did you buy this device yourself new direct from EE or is it 2nd-hand? The process & costs are different.

From EE shop! I have always had iPhone and I decided to have a change and get the Nokia but didn’t really like it so when my 24 moths where up I went back to Apple!

Have you tried the online form?

 

You can just apply using the Unlocking your device form as the Pay Monthly option and giving the mobile number that it used to have. It will first show your current phone on that number & ask whether that is the device you want to unlock? If not, you will then have to type in the IMEI of the old phone.

It's only apple phones you need to go via the carrier to unlock, so use a third party unlocking services?

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 07953 966 250 from any other phone.

EE standard opening hours are 8am to 9pm weekday, 8am to 8pm on weekends.

yep tried the form twice and phoned through twice and i always get the same text back after about 7 days! " hi from ee. we are unable to complete your unlocking request as APPLE have advised your iPhone was not provided by us. please contact APPLE customer services or an APPLE store for more information. thank you ee" i get this every time!! i have told EE that its a NOKIA not an Apple phone but still get this reply!!!!

yer EE offer a free unlock! I did visit a 3rd party and they wanted £40 to unlock!! I don't think the phone is even worth £10

@combatch3f Call This number  0800 956 6000 opt 2, opt 4 and told them you are out of contract and want to unlock your phone give them IMEI number of that phone that you want to unlock.
