Phone number has been disconnected as I ended my plan and moved to Germany. Live chat was available 12 days ago which is how I managed to get it started but have not received anything in the form of an email as my number does not exist anymore. How long is this supposed to take?

@antk1980 Did you confirm that your number will not be active to receive the unlock information? As EE text this to you. you might need to call customer services to acquire this.

Chris thank you for the reply, yes I did mention this in the live chat to the agent that helped me. Which I find strange as when you end your contract your number stops working anyway and that is when people want a phone unlocked.
I did all this through a live chat 12 days ago which now seems to be a non existent way of contacting them again.

@antk1980 Live chat is only for contract customers which you are not now, sorry.
