I have been unable to send messages and it comes back saying "phone number formatted incorrectly".
I have looked online and made sure my SMS messaging centre's number was correct and that my contract bills and such had been paid, but still the issue continues.
I have a Google Pixel XL but judging by another thread this maybe a issue to do with EE and not on my end.
Please help, I'm currently out of contact with my partner who is travelling with mobile internet currently.

Good morning @BenPrisk
Welcome to the community
I would give CS a call to try and get to the bottom of this issue!
They will be able to help you!

Are you adding +44 to your numbers?
Also when you say you are "out of contract" are you tethering and trying to send SMS messages?

Im out of contact. She's out of the country and is running low on data so we don't really have an alternative.

Good morning to you 😊
Since you're running low on data.
CS may be the better option at this time!
Good luck 😊👍
Hope you finally get it sorted!

I've already done a soft reset and have sent a text to another number fine which made me double check the number and everything.
Nothing seems to be wrong and yet still doesn't wish to work.
I think I'm going to call support and see if they can help.

Well it looks like it's maybe not on my end and infact an issue on her end.
It took 2 lovely CS/Tech help guys to conclude that there wasn't anything wrong on my and and as such must be the number im trying to message.
Looks like i'll just have to hope WiFi is available for her and no emergencies happen.
I'll try and resolve whatever is wrong when i see her next.
Thanks for the advice.

At least that has ruled out any problem with your device, which is good! 😊
And doing what you suggested with your wife's device,
Seems the logical next step forward!
Anyway! As always, good luck with that 😊
