I'm not able to send or receive text messages, although I can make & receive calls and use data (although Facebook & messenger don't work on data even though web browsing works). I've checked and the SMS Centre Number is correct.
I have a Huawei P30 and a new EE pay monthly SIM. I've done the form to port my old number from Three.

For the Facebook issue, that's probably down to content lock being enabled by default on your new account, instructions on how to turn that off can be found here.
Try restarting your handset to see if that resolves the SMS issue.

Unfortunately, restarting the phone didn't solve the SMS issue.
I will have a look at the content block as soon as I'm in, but unfortunately I can't receive the code needed to register for myee 😞

When did you port over as that would seem to be the issue. Is your SIM/phone still using the temporary number? (Check under settings). If you give EE a call on 150 then ask them to refresh your line that might help.
