I regularly receive marketing texts asking me to purchase data and calls add ons. (I'm PAYG). The text says to opt out send STOP to 2000 which I do every time, but I immediately get a text back saying 'sorry we couldn't recognise your request'. Any ideas?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Hi @Jeanmur
Welcome to the community. 🙂
I recommend speaking to our Mobile Care team, who'll be able to turn off those marketing texts for you.

Thank you! That seems to have worked. Hopefully I won't get any more.

I came on here to solve that very problem, so thanks from me too! Why on earth do EE give you a number to text that doesn't work? (It always resolved to 20 00 on my iPhone, with the same results as the OP.)

I've had one more text since then but it says it can take up to 30 days to stop completely. Hopefully there won't be any more for either of us!
