Is this a scam text

I received a text this morning from a unknown sender saying the following

“Dear Customer,
Your EE account has been temporarily suspended,
please confirm your details at https://eeuklogin.co.uk/en/ to avoid loss of service.”

i have checked my online online account via my own web browser and it’s fine. I have not clicked the link they have asked me too.

Hi @Garethhiggins.

Thanks for coming to the community and reporting this.

I would recommend forwarding this message to 7726 and then deleting the message from your phone.

Please do not open the link which has been provided.

Katie 🙂

Re: Is this a scam text

It's a scam. There's a lot of it going round. EE would never send you a msg to confirm your details. That link is faked up to look like EE.

Report it to EE by fprwarding it to 7726 (S.P.A.M. on your keypad).
