Cant receive uber verification code

I can't receive a verification code from uber to verify my account. It says to text a number 'start' in order to receive it. But it blocks me from sending these too.

Around 2 and a half years ago i had this number on o2.

If you're also unable to send text to shortcode numbers there may be a restriction on your account. Have you asked customer services to bar premium/competition type text?

Are you roaming at the moment and putting the number in, in the correct format?

That number doesn't look to be in the correct format.

 

It should either start with +44 or 0, not +0.
