Can't send or receive from ee phones

My wife and I both are on EE and we can't text to each other or receive text messages from (we suspect) other EE customers.

My wife's EE phone CAN send to my EE phone and I receive it. (Sony XA1)

My phone can NOT receive OR send text messages from or to her phone (Sony XZ)

Both EE phones can send and receive messages from my vodafone work iphone.

Although we do annoy each other from time to time we haven't blocked each other as far as we know.

I've tried updating her message centre number to one we found on here (was her own phone number, now changed to the EE message centre number). Also tried rebooting but no luck so far.

My phone already had the correct message centre number in.

It has been like this for a few days at least.

Re: Can't send or receive from ee phones

Hi @sketcher

Did you both port over to EE from another network?

You might need to call EE and ask them to refresh your lines. This should normally fix the issue.

Thanks,

Hi @sketcher

Welcome to the community 🙂

Can you check the settings on both your phone's just to make sure no one has been blocked;

  • Select your Home screen
  • Tap Settings > Block numbers

Do you have any numbers showing?

Do you get an error when sending or does it look like the message has sent?
