Are SMS delivery reports free? I have unlimited txt and minutes. Are they covered with that? Or are they extra charges?
Solved! See the answer below or view the solution in context.

Soon with Google Messages app you will be able to see people typing, see if they've got the message, send photos, videos etc for FREE because Google have grown impatient with EE's greed and are giving this rich messaging, like whatsapp or iMessages for free, ie they are bypassing the need for us users to have to wait and wait for our greedy service providers to offer this new, open technology. Really, shame on EE. Vodafone were the only ones to green light this. Why have EE shown favouritism towards apple phone users over Android users?

Lol you for real?
Theres no need for the google messages now. It's too late for it.
WhatsApp is here. 99% of my messages are sent on there.
My work has a group on there and that's how we all communicate with each other.
There isnt a apple or android favouritism. Just apple doesnt let network interfere but google does. So its not EE favouring apple. Its Google allowing it to happen.

Loads of people do not like Whatsapp, and I have read they are going to introduce advertising next year... Also they are owned by Facebook, another reason not to use that. I would far rather use an OPEN system that is not owned by some pig greedy company like Facebook, that is open to anyone to use as RCS has been. Yes, for real.

I only wanted to know if there were charges for SMS delivery reports on ee. I now have my answer thankyou. I also use wa and messenger but some of my older relatives only use txt 😊 I seem to have opened up a pathway for discussion that could be else where. Thanks again.

Dont worry @R-J
If you stick around on here you'll find people like to hijack other peoples post with pointless stuff.

Sorry for this question, I'm not particularly savvy with any of this! So when RCS eventually lands in the UK (I'm guessing it already has, as I've got the options in Google messages) does that mean from now on I don't have to pay an MMS charge for sending an image/video over messages while connected to WiFi?
WhatsApp is great but not everyone is on it, so while I understand the argument that this might be late, its at least a good alternative.

Hi there @Nissassa.
Welcome to the community.
To send a chat message, both people must have chat features enabled on their devices. If the other person has enabled chat features, then your messages will be sent automatically as chat messages.
If the feature is not enabled this will be sent as a standard text message which will be chargeable.
