invalid SIM

I'm in the process of moving from Orange to EE and have been sent a new SIM card by EE.  Despite being assured by EE this is now ready to go whenever I put the new SIM card in it shows up as "invalid SIM".  I had to use the old SIM to ring EE who advised they would sort this and to put the new SIM back in.  Having tried this now neither the old nor the new SIM work ("invalid SIM" message) and I cannot use my mobile to ring EE about it?  Can someone advise what I do now please?  thank you

yes, I have switched it on and off again, and used both SIMs alternately, and it's still saying "invalid SIM".

Re: invalid SIM

Hi @BrendaSender

Did you get a new phone when changing to EE?

If not, how long have you had the phone that you're using for and what is the make and model?

Re: invalid SIM

Thank you for your reply.

No I did not get a new phone when moving to EE.

My phone is about seven years old.  It is Samsung, Galaxy, Sydney.  I did provide this information to Marie at EE during our previous phone call (when the mobile still worked).

Thank you

Re: invalid SIM

Thanks for the reply, @BrendaSender.

It is possible that the phone is still locked to Orange and therefore not recognising the EE SIM.

I recommend getting in touch with customer services so that they can double check this for you.

If it is, they will be able to request to unlock the phone for you.

Please let me know how you get on.
