Upgrade - Sim swap delay

Hello,

I upgraded and completed a sim swap. My old sim has now been disconnected from the network. But my New sim has not yet been registered with network yet. 

I performed sim swap yesterday. I have removed new sim and re inserted. Also restarted phone more than once.

Hi @GC99 ring freephone 0800 956 3146 from 8AM it will put you straight through to a tech advisor.

Hi,

I completed using ee.co.uk/simswap

Then input my phone number to get the authorisation code.

Was promoted to input new sim number, which I duly did.

Old sim was disconnected quite promptly.

Hi @GC99,

 

It can take up to 24 hours for the SIM swap to complete.

 

If this time has already past and the new SIM card is not working, I would recommend giving our customer service team a call and they will be able to check the progress of the SIM swap.

Ok. The message I get is.

Phone not allowed for voice.... research suggests that the handset is
blocked. But EE sent me the handset as part of my upgrade....
Guess I need to call.... so frustrating

Update - now resolved.

 

Handset was blacklisted. Nice, kind gentleman from ee customer services managed to assist me in resolving the issue.
