Sim Activation

Hi,

So my Iphone 5s was lost/stolen on Friday night. I called EE to get it cancelled etc and ordered an SE as a replacement and was told my number would remain the same as my previous one.

Everything arrived yesterday morning, but no luck with my new sim activating at all, and my EE page still says I'm using the 5s even though that was cancelled. Is there any way of speeding this up?

Re: Sim Activation

Hi

The 5s image to which you refer has no bearing on your account and will change when you use your new handset.

Did you activate the sim?

EE help with your sim guide.

Thanks,

Re: Sim Activation

Hi @nedefp,

Welcome to the EE Community.

Are you using a pay monthly or pay as you go plan?

Did your new SIM card arrive with the phone or separately in the post?

Thanks

James

Re: Sim Activation

Hi James,

I'm on a pay monthly plan. New phone & sim arrived together in the post.

Thanks

Re: Sim Activation

HI,

Essentially, the only thing I can do on the phone at resent is connect to wifi. But I can't send/receive texts or calls or use data - it jusy says no service in the top left instead

Re: Sim Activation

Hi @nedefp

Thanks for replying 🙂

Have you taken a look at the How to activate your new EE SIM Card support article?

If you can't get things activated, then I'd advise to contact customer services to resolve this.

Cheers
