SIM lock prompt after switching phones

I used my EE SIM in a different (unlocked) phone for a couple of weeks, and now that I’ve returned it to my original phone (iPhone 7) I get a prompt every time I turn it on to enter my PIN a second time because the SIM is locked. It goes away once I’ve entered my PIN and I can use my phone fine - it’s just annoying! Anyone know how to fix? Thanks.

@LoFy  If you want to turn off the sim pin go to settings>mobile data and click sim pin,    This will turn off the pin so you can put the sim in any device and not get asked to enter the sim pin.

It might be annoying, but it means if you lost your SIM, no one can just put it in another phone and use it, especially if you've haven't noticed it's gone and not cancelled it.

A lot of the time this is what the criminals are after.
