SIM card

Will I be able to use an EE SIM card in the U.K if I got my phone from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia?

Re: SIM card

Hi @Talha2

It maybe region locked and won't use all the same frequencies the UK networks use, but it should work on some. Depends on the handset.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to the community, @Talha2

Do you know if the phone is unlocked to all networks?

What kind of phone is it?

Re: SIM card

OK, thanks @Talha2

I can't guarantee that it will work. Is it possible for you to try someone's EE SIM in the phone before you buy one?

Re: SIM card

Nobody else in the family has an EE sim. I want to get one because I thought it was a good deal.

This piece of paper also came with the phone:

”This product should be activated with a SIM card issued from a mobile operator within the Middle East and North Africa countries listed below......

To use SIM card from other regions a cumulative call over 5 minutes must first be made with the SIM card from the Middle East and North African operators.

Re: SIM card

Ah, OK @Talha2

Sounds like it may not work then.

May be worth popping into an EE store to see if they can try a SIM card in it?
