I can't make international calls or SMS to the UK. I get the message to deactivate call barring. EE says my calls are not barred. They've gone through a lot of settings with me but haven't come up with an answer. I've tried the SIM in 3 mobiles. Anyone with an answer please.

I will tag some of the EE staff, who will hopefully be able to help you further.
I have read similar issues in the past. Basically it is essential that roaming is activated before you go away. And I think this will need looked into further, hence the reason I've tagged the EE staff.

Welcome to the community @jlo
I recommend getting in touch with our customer service team from another phone.
It sounds like you may have an international bar on your SIM.
They will be able to look into this and hopefully get you up and running.
Let us know how you get on.

Hi Chris. I've tried that and they said that there's no barring. They also went through my phone settings with me.
Problem seems to have started when I got a new EE SIM and ported my Orange number to the new SIM.

Hi James. I've already spoken to the techs who had me trying different settings but eventually they couldn't find a solution.
Calls to me here cost me £1.80/minute so it works out expensive for me, but they did credit my account with some money.

I've had a quick look at the ticket and our support teams were unable to find any issues with your account/profile so they thought it may be a local network issue.
As the ticket was closed sometime ago, you would need to contact our technical team so they can open a new ticket for you.
