Re: Number not recognised

I should add some details.

So, i inserted my sim into my phone and went to EE.co.uk/join, registered an account then tried to register my number. I input said number correctly, 4 times, and it always said number not recognised. Is there something im missing here?

Re: Number not recognised

Hi @XenonArcher

Welcome to the community. 🙂

Just a few questions.

Are they pay monthly or pay as you go SIMs?

Does the phone show a signal in the top corner of your phone?

Are you able to try a test call to 150?

Thanks

Re: Number not recognised

Hi @XenonArcher,

Have you topped up your SIM cards?

Are you in the UK?

Thanks

Re: Number not recognised

Yes, im in the UK.

Is topping up the sim card required for it to work? cus giffgaff payg sims didnt require it and id rather not spend money on something that im uncertain will work.

like, i tried to ring the number from my house phone and it was unrecognised. EE's own website doesnt recognise either of the numbers and none of the steps the booklet told me to do work

Re: Number not recognised

Hi @XenonArcher,

To be able to make calls on a new pay as you go SIM card, you will need to top up the account.

Have you been able to receive a call on any of the numbers?

Alex 🙂
