No service - both phones - cpw upgrade

Hi, recently upgraded through cpw.

Sales guy tells me insert new sim in new phone, number will be the same eventually old sim will stop working. (Old phone X5 compact new phone XZ1 compact)

Followed instructions,

Now I find I have both phones showing "no service".

Neither phone can be registered on the network.

Is this normal? It's been like it for over 36 hours now.

EE is fine in my area, daughter also on EE and has no network issues.

Thanks in advance for any help.

@Experianced   I’m looking at what’s going on within the forum at the moment and I think EE have got a few issues all over the place.

@Lee_H @Chris_B finally got through to customer services. Apparently SIM registrations have failed today. Have been advised to just keep restarting the phone every 30 mins to see if the issue has been resolved. Will let you know how I get on.
